hi carl bob harris is my name and im a former asst. track coach at cinnaminson high. my son bill competed against you in the hop skip and jump during an age group meet run by your parents at willingbora that summer 1971. bill won only because he was the only one who knew how to do the event. every one else had to do it from a standing start. bill was only 8 and i believe you were 11. my only wish is that i had a camera when he stepped up on that first place level with you at second and i had a camera. but i didn't. we were always big fans of yours carl and wish you the very best in your film career. bob

My name is Jesse Cadena a fromer track and field in 100 and 200 mts back in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico my teammates and my self had a dream to become a Carl Lewis, unfortunately we never had any support. thank God we have a Champion in Ana Gabriela Guevara and I am so proud of her.
Of all my teammates I was the only one that stayed in a sport related activity I am currently the President of Tuzos Soccer Club in Phoenix, Arizona and we have become one of the premier soccer clubs in Arizona. We do not charge training fees and our club is designated to support low income kids and families. we currently have 2 Arizona State Champion teams and we are so proud to be one of the most competitive soccer clubs in Arizona I do this because back in my days I wish someone could it help me to achive my dream. I was watching CNN the other day and was so happy to see you once again, after all this years I finally decided to write you this story because I just want you to know that my track and field teammates and my self will always keep you in our hearts, you are and will be our hero. I can only hope that I can get an autographed poster of yourself for me and my 3 teammates.

Hi Carl..My name is YUSMAN and i'm from SINGAPORE.I have been your biggest fan and you are my idol and inspiration.........I took up track and field when the first time i saw you running the 100m in the olympic games in Los Angeles in 1984 on television.That race had a great impact on me and my desire to be as close like you as possible.......In 1992,my dream came true.I was one of the top rank junior sprinter in Singapore and the press dupped me as THE SINGAPORE'S CARL LEWIS and in that same year,i won the national schools gold medal in 200m.But my dream didn't last long.I got injured but make a come back soon after.But because of a lot of family commitment,i has to put my dreams on hold....Now i'm 33 and still keeping my dreams alive,The fire in me is still burning.I still train and waiting to be back in the national team soon.To see you still could run fast when you were 30+,make me even more determent to do it.........My one wish is to meet you personally and to see you,my idol.......I've been longing to meet you in person........i hope that this dream will come true.
Mr Lewis, I am very disappointed at the comments you have been making in relation to the Jamaican athletic team. We are an Island of 2.8million individuals and for our athletes to do so well in the 2008 Olympics is a great honour for us. The disappointment for me is that as a fellow Olympian who I am sure felt great pleasure in winning 4 gold medals for his Country in one Olympics, you are now casting doubt on the validity of the Jamaican athletes. I am sure you would not have appreciated anyone casting doubts on your ability at the 84 Olympics. Please leave the medical proffession to do their job and allow our Olympians to enjoy their success as you did yours.

I watched you run over the years, and congratulate you on your accomplishments and milestones. It was fun running against you in High School (Although I have to admit that I had just transferred from PR during Christmas break (12/78) and I really didn't know who I was running against on relay legs for RV (LOL). You were always cool with me regardless of what the press says/said about you. Tell Carol, Mack, Cleve and your Mom, I said hello.
I'm planning a comeback at the Masters level. I'm running and getting in shape for health purposes and I think my legs can carry me one more time :).
