Carl Lewis is hosting a 5K Family Fitness Run/Walk on the 14th October, 2006 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California.
Proceeds from the event benefit The American Diabetes Association

You're my olympics heroes and I remember your first success from Los Angeles 1984 ... I was 8 years old... :-)

I am a registered nurse and also an MBA student at Texas Women's University. I am presently taking a leadership course and was required write a paper on an effective leader. I did not hesitate to grasp the opportunity to write about you.

Hi, Carl this is Kimondria Townsend grand-daughter of Betty Lewis now Betty Townsend, her daughter Eunice Townsend, son Dermonico Townsend, son of Charles A. Andreson I am the daughter of Dermonico Townsend. You are such an inspiration to me I LOVE running track I did my first year of track in the 4th grade and did everything you did except for the jumps lol. Anyway I also ran track in the 7th grade I once again ran everything this time wit the jumps.I am now in the 8th grade and I still run track I have won alot of races and I came in 1ST AND 2ND ONLY!!! Never lost and don't plan on it.I enjoy running its my passion I will never give up running track. and I thank you for inspiring me to accomplish everything. Thank you, bye.

Carl, my family and I were sitting around the family room watching the Olympics and discussing Phelps and his amazing accomplishments. We then began reminiscing and the conversation went like this "I wonder what Carl Lewis is doing?" As my sister retightens my sisterlocks she said "I don't know;" I surfed the web and confidently entered your name in a google search because you struck me as the kind of man that would definitely have web presence. Well sir - you surpassed what I imagined. As they say it in the hood - "This site is tight!" You are excellent! I wish you continued success and thanks for inspiring me. The only thing that I would suggest and I know this may be difficult is that you take a photo in a pair of jeans and a raggedy t with no shoes. In all your pics, you look perfectly wrapped - leave yourself to the imagination in one pic. I hope you are ok with my comment. The best to you Carl. Sincerely
